Summary/Abstract: Tourism is one of the most important sectors of the global economy because it connects different countries and cultures. It creates jobs, generates income, and stimulates the development of local businesses such as hotels, restaurants, shops, and transport services. Many countries rely on tourism as a main source of revenue, especially those with beautiful natural and historical landmarks that attract more and more visitors each year. International tourism also encourages economic relations between nations. People travel, exchange money and cultures, making the world more connected and open. In addition, tourism often leads to investments in infrastructure – new roads, airports, and public services that improve the lives of local people. Despite its benefits, tourism also has negative effects such as overuse of natural resources, pollution, and excessive commercialization of some destinations. That is why there is growing focus today on sustainable tourism, which aims to balance economic benefits with the protection of nature and cultural heritage.
