Summary/Abstract: From a historical perspective and within the context of the contemporary economic situation, the cooperative business model is a necessary alternative that provides the opportunity to realize business ideas through the collective efforts of cooperative members and in accordance with their individual capabilities. This paper explores options to enhance the capacity of cooperatives to become a preferred means of pursuing business opportunities, through the joint efforts of groups of individuals, exercising remunerative occupation, optimizing social security and health insurance, increasing income, and improving the living standards of their members. The main goal of the study is to analyse the key challenges faced by cooperatives in distributing the generated benefits and achieving a balance between the pursuit of maximum profits and the provision of fair remuneration and additional social benefits for working cooperative members, as well as to propose strategies for effectively leveraging the strengths of this business model. The expected outcomes include recommendations for optimizing the remuneration payment methods, social insurance and health insurance, profit allocation in the form of dividends, and the effective management of these processes to ensure competitive advantage and long-term sustainability.
