Summary/Abstract: Taking into account the prompt expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) to all areas of economic and social life, it is important to clarify what is its nature, what potential risks it poses, and to what extent international legislation adequately responds to its practical application. The paper focuses on this priority issue for the EU. It argues for the need for legal regulation of digital transformation, AI, and the manifestations of the European legal order in the modern digital world in the context of the fundamental question of the scope and protection of the fundamental human rights.
