Summary/Abstract: Bulgaria's accession to the eurozone is linked with various and varied myths, most of which are far from reality. Some of them, such as those about the significant increase in prices and the decrease in the standard of living after the introduction of the euro, need a little more time to be debunked. Some of the myths, however, such as those that we are not ready to meet the convergence criteria to join the eurozone, as well as that we will be obliged to change our exchange rate, at which the currency board fixed the Bulgarian lev to the euro, are already history. New myths have also emerged in connection with Bulgaria's membership in the eurozone, and the purpose of this analysis is to present some of them, focusing on those about the digital euro.
