Summary/Abstract: This article analyzes how Orthodox preaching can respond to the complex challenges, posed by new contemporary ideologies, which often prove incompatible or even hostile to the fundamental values of the Gospel. In a social context, marked by moral relativism, excessive individualism and ideologies, which challenge the traditional landmarks of truth, the role of preaching in the life of the ecclesial community needs to be reassessed. Starting from the universality of the Christian message, expressed in the person and saving work of Jesus Christ, this paper explores the tensions between revealed, unchanging truth and the postmodern spirit, characterized by value pluralism and the contestation of religious authority. It also analyzes the relationship between the patristic tradition, the foundation of Orthodox thought and expression, and recent ideological trends, such as gender ideology, radical secularism or political correctness, which can negatively influence the formation of religious conscience. Within this framework, an articulated homiletical approach is proposed, which combines fidelity to Christian truth with pastoral discernment and a sensitive, contextualized but firm discourse capable of responding to current challenges. The sermon thus becomes an act of witness and an instrument for enlightening and healing the contemporary crisis of values through the transforming power of the Word of God.
