Summary/Abstract: Since 2024 was the centennial year of Orthodox theological education in Cluj, and 2025 was proclaimed by the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church as the Commemorative Year of Romanian Orthodox Spirituals and Confessors of the 20th Century, the study briefly presents biographical aspects of several teachers - some lesser known, confessors in communist prisons. The Orthodox Theological Academy/Institute in Cluj can be considered a martyr institution, being arbitrarily suppressed by the communist regime in 1952, but also because 10 teaching staff experienced the horrors of the concentration camp universe during the period of sad memory: Liviu-Galaction Munteanu, Alexandru Filipașcu, Ioan Bunea, Ilarion-Virgil Felea, Ioan Lupaș, Florea Mureșanu, Vasile Sava, Simion Curea, Pavel Șendrea, Gheorghe Noveanu and two of them were canonized in the centennial year of the Romanian Patriarchate.
