Summary/Abstract: The article is based on the six sermons delivered by the Romanian Patriarchs on the enthronement days. Even though they were delivered in a very different social, economic, cultural, political, and pastoral context, the six sermons appear like six projects in a symphony. All of them refer to the tradition of the Church and the experience of their predecessors, the need of knowing the Holy Bible and the Holy Fathers of the Church writings, paying great attention to the theological and cultural training of both priests and monks. I addition, the six Patriarchs focussed on social activities and diplomatic dialog with political authorities.
