Summary/Abstract: This article explores gamification and how it can be used to create educational materials for learning a foreign language, specifically a Slavic language, by turning a video game into a teaching aid. All Slavic languages except Montenegrin, have video games in their language. Gamification positively impacts vocabulary learning, well-being, and motivation. However, its biggest drawback is the limited ability to teach grammar, so it should be seen as a supplement rather than a replacement for traditional language learning. For now, Polish and Russian are the most popular slavic languages in video games, and therefore, they are best options for gamificated learning of foreign language.
