Summary/Abstract: The aim of the work is to determine the current, post-pandemic, level of urban resilience of Kołobrzeg in relation to the scale of development of the largest Polish health resort. It uses the author’s model of an adaptive cycle of urban resilience with reference to the threshold tourist area life cycle (TTALC). The use of TTALC and the adaptive cycle model in the context of urban resilience was tested with a positive result for challenges generated by AI, thus confirming the process of strengthening Kołobrzeg’s resilience. The challenges provided by AI indicated the actual state of transition of Kołobrzeg from the phase of conservation (K), stabilization through the phase of release (Ω), disturbance to the phase of reorganization (α), to innovation in the adaptive cycle in the context of urban resilience. These activities are directly related to crossing a sequence of development thresholds, and in particular threshold V, meaning the actual changes to the administrative boundaries of the city which will enable the development of new socio-economic functions and increase the level of urban resilience. In this, the specific case of a large health resort, resilience to crisis or shock situations and the ability to regenerate, depends on cooperation, social participation, trust and the need to convince residents of the sense of meeting large scale challenges.
