Summary/Abstract: The eurozone economy is beset by challenges, including both supply and demand side factors. The intensification of asymmetric shocks (endogenous/exogenous) has been again testing the resilience of the European Monetary Union since 2020. The overlapping supply shocks and the current geo-political crisis has determined the accumulation of unprecedented inflationary pressures and the deterioration of the risk perception. In this context, the paper has as a key objective the assessment of recent macroeconomic developments in the euro area, which is strongly influenced by the international environment due to trade and capital flows, but also from the perspective of uncertainty.
