Summary/Abstract: Our paper sets out to present the case of “One Health” as a sectoral innovation policy in a middle-income country: Cameroon. Public innovation policies, interpreted in the broad sense, are not a “luxury” in middle-income countries and are particularly legitimate, driving economic growth and the inclusion of populations. In the case of Cameroon, analysis in terms of the National Innovation System (NIS) demonstrates its difficulties in systematic construction on the national territory. We must therefore seek sectoral momentum to show the effects of “One Health” and its dissemination within the country. Defined as an integrated approach to health in multiple aspects, “One Health” is above all a tool to be taken into account in formulating agricultural and food sectoral innovation policies. Nevertheless, its implementation remains complex in the context of Cameroon, despite the obvious interest it requires and its integration into the country’s national strategy.
