Summary/Abstract: This article proposes a comparative analysis of pedagogical and academic terminology used in the Republic of Moldova and Germany, with a focus on structural, functional and semantic similarities as well as differences generated by distinct educational traditions. Based on national and European regulatory framework, including the implementation of the Bologna Process, the study highlights how the terminology reflects the organization of educational systems, institutional practices and dominant pedagogical concepts. Particular attention is given to terminology related to pre-university and higher education, including assessment methods and grading systems, presented in comparative tables. The results demonstrate that, although there is a conceptual convergence at the European level, terminological differences do not represent simple lexical variations, but signal distinct perspectives on the educational process, academic responsibility and performance assessment. The study emphasizes the importance of a correct translation and a precise understanding of pedagogical terminology in the context of academic mobility, recognition of studies and international institutional cooperation.
