Summary/Abstract: The security landscape of the European Union (EU) has undergone significant transformations in response to geopolitical shifts, emerging threats, and the increasing necessity for enhanced cooperation among member states. This study examines the evolution of the EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP), analysing its implications for regional and global stability. The research explores key policy developments, strategic initiatives, and institutional frameworks that shape the EU’s security architecture. Furthermore, it assesses the challenges associated with political fragmentation, resource allocation, and external dependencies, which hinder the EU’s ability to establish a cohesive and effective security strategy. The findings suggest that while progress has been made in defence integration, a more unified and adaptable security framework is required to address contemporary threats.
