Summary/Abstract: The University of National and World Economy offers its students one of the best sports facilities in the country. Students can choose from 12 different sports. Students choose the sport they want to practice, and the classes are led by highly qualified teachers. Over the years, volleyball has established itself as a sport with traditions at the UNWE and is one of the preferred ones thanks to the dedication of many specialists who worked in the Department of Physical Education and Sports. The purpose of the study is to reveal some characteristic features and trends regarding the choice of sport – volleyball at the UNWE. The organization and methodology of the scientific research was carried out by downloading data from the information system introduced for the needs of the Department of Physical Education and Sports. The analysis shows that students improve their skills in accordance with the requirements of the volleyball game and perceive the volleyball lesson as engaging in a complex lesson of mental and motor activity. The sport of volleyball brings satisfaction to a relatively high percentage of students (68%), who choose it and practice it in the second year of their studies. In volleyball classes at the UNWE, there is an even distribution between the two genders.
