Summary/Abstract: Sports at universities create a natural environment for interaction between students by encouraging team thinking and helping to build skills that are important not only personally, but also professionally. The purpose of this report is to examine the role of sports in higher education as a means of developing social and communication skills among students studying in various educational programs. For the purpose of the study, the theoretical framework was first outlined, on the basis of which a questionnaire containing 10 questions was developed, the answers to which were ranked on a five-point Likert scale. The results of the study show that sports activities encourage the building of social connections, create conditions for teamwork, mutual assistance, and constructive communication. This, in turn, contributes to improving students' adaptation to the university environment and increases their personal activity and social engagement.
