Summary/Abstract: Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services are pivotal for ensuring operational continuity and safety of high-value assets in aviation, maritime, and manufacturing industries amid a dynamically growing global MRO market. This paper aims to provide an analysis of logistics activities and supply chains of MRO organizations, with particular attention to emergency (ad hoc) shipments. A singlecase study methodology was employed, encompassing semi-structured interviews, document analysis, and direct observation at a leading European MRO provider. Findings highlight the need for a new, refined approach to logistics management to build a more efficient supply chain capable of responding to the challenges of the dynamic business environment in the MRO sector.
