Summary/Abstract: The study examines the transformation of last-mile logistics in the context of sustainability, digitalization, and urban development. The topic is particularly relevant as logistics is undergoing rapid changes driven by technological innovations and growing environmental requirements. The aim of the report is to identify the main trends and challenges characteristic of last-mile logistics in Bulgaria, to outline the potential for replicating or adapting good practices to other contexts, as well as opportunities for improving logistics education and training in this area. The methodology includes an analysis of academic sources and good practices of companies in the country. The main conclusions highlight the role of digital technologies in route optimization, automation, and sustainable last-mile deliveries. However, Bulgaria faces challenges such as low digital readiness, a shortage of skilled professionals, and insufficient integration between urban planning and logistics infrastructure. The results highlight the need to modernize education and training in logistics towards developing interdisciplinary skills in learners that combine the fields of logistics, digital tools, and sustainability.
