Summary/Abstract: The effectiveness of public policies is a key factor for sustainable economic and social development, which requires the application of modern managerial and analytical approaches within public administration. This article examines the application of business analytics approaches in evaluating the effectiveness of public policies, with a focus on key performance indicators (KPIs), the Balanced Scorecard, data analytics, gap analysis, and financial analysis. The study discusses the theoretical foundations of public policy analysis and explores the possibilities for adapting business analytics tools to the specific characteristics of the public sector, emphasizing their orientation toward public value creation. The analysis is complemented by a review of European best practices and an assessment of their applicability to the Bulgarian context. The findings indicate that the integration of business analytics approaches can enhance transparency, strategic planning, and data-driven decision-making, provided that existing institutional and capacity-related challenges are effectively addressed.
