Summary/Abstract: Kindergartens and schools all over the world work according to the model of Maria Montessori. Her ideas are well known in Bulgaria and go through different stages and methods of application for more than a century of history. In the 90s of the 20th century, interest in the educational system of Maria Montessori in Bulgaria was renewed. Various children's centers and clubs, named Home of childlen were created. This article presents the most important moments in the development of Montessori's education in Bulgaria.
