Summary/Abstract: Reading plays has an important and crucial role in bilingual language acquisition. Russian American bilingual children have a difficult time during reading lessons at Russian class. How to overcome the challenges? A selection text model “Reading 1-2-3” will help teachers and parents to master the choice of Russian texts for teaching and learning purposes. The model “Reading 1-2-3” will present reasonable and distinct steps providing guidance for a wide choice of piece in world known Russian literature.
