Summary/Abstract: This chapter examines the various approaches taken by two higher education institutions in the USA to address a common challenge of having mixed-level students in college language classes. The chapter begins with the description of both programs. It continues with a brief introduction of the theoretical background. Furthermore, it explains in detail practical implementations of each approach in both institutions and concludes with the outcome discussion.
