Summary/Abstract: The text is a comparative analysis of the song folklore of the Bulgarian diaspora in the lands of today's Ukraine and the one in Eastern Strandja, where the Bulgarian emigrants started more than 200 years ago. The reasons for the changes in the folklore language of the diaspora are traced and relations of language mutations with the changes in its culture are made.
