Summary/Abstract: The urban prose works of Stamatov and Strashimirov are included in comparative context, which can be deciphered through the correspondence theory. The coinciding phenomena of the erotic (the female eroticism, the male eroticism, letter eroticism, themythologies of Eros, the erotic identifications) are placed in symmetry in two perspectives – of the metaphor and of the metonymy. The choice is conceptually grounded – both writers use figures of understanding in order to reach the erotic knowledge.
