Summary/Abstract: The ancient alphabetic signs of the Kyrgyz people were the basis of the Orkhon-Yenisei writing and paved the way for the Yenisei writing, which in turn became the basis of the common Turkic writing. This script was also used by other neighboring tribes in close contact with the Kyrgyz.
