Summary/Abstract: Based on a variety of material, the article presents and analyzes manifestations of language play related to the creation of graphic occasionalisms, where in the graphic form of words changes. A major tool in this game process are the internationally accepted symbols for monetary units, which replace letters and their parts or words and their parts. Among the most commonly used are € (euro), $ (dollar), £(pound), ¥ (yen), ₽ (ruble) и ₿ (bitcoin), which are also the most well-known.
