Summary/Abstract: Wireless networks have become an essential part of modern digital infrastructure, playing a key role in contemporary computer networks. Their primary purpose is to enable communication and access to information resources without relying on physical connections. The convenience and adaptability offered by wireless technologies have significantly increased their use across various settings, from households to large-scale enterprises. However, as their usage grows, so do the associated security risks. Wireless networks are particularly vulnerable to attacks such as malware infiltration and unauthorized access to sensitive information. Consequently, securing these networks has become a vital aspect of network management. This paper explores the significance of security protocols designed to safeguard wireless networks. After analyzing several security protocols, special attention will be given to WPA3 (Wi-Fi Protected Access 3) protocol, highlighting its advancements over earlier versions, such as WPA2. Additionally, the authors will analyze common threats targeting wireless networks and explain their protection.
