Summary/Abstract: For 17 years, Romania was under several authoritanian regimes, all of them with its own particularities. The legislation for the occurrence and the activity of religious associations was influenced by each of these regimes. The following study presents the legislation of that time in regard of Brethren Assemblies. They turned from association to religious cult, for a certain period of time being outlawed too.
