Summary/Abstract: The aim of the research presented in this article is to propose a financial and insurance value for a Bulgarian women's folk costume from the village of Divotino, Pernik municipality – the "Divotino women's costume" – based on a complex expert assessment. The artifact was produced around 1935. It can be considered as a work of applied art that has been passed down through four generations of the family of its first owner to the present day. The first part of the paper presents a complex expertise of the artifact. The second contains a proposal for a financial and insurance value of the Divotino women's costume, valid as of May 2025. The assessment and expertise have been developed in accordance with the principles of scientific ethics and the professional ethical standards of independent appraisers.
