Summary/Abstract: The subject of the expert appraisal is a collection of normative acts entitled “Collection of official orders and documents on the Bulgarian region. Printed by order of His Imperial Majesty the Commander-in-Chief of the active army: Issue VI” from 1878. The expert appraisal provides arguments in support of the object's suitability for identification as a cultural asset – these are systematized in the appendix to the article. The financial valuation is done by calculating the inflation index and compound interest; cost and comparative approach, assessment of added cultural value, market analysis, and impact assessment. The methodology complies with national, European, and international valuation standards.
