Summary/Abstract: The article presents a complex expertise, financial appraisal and insurance assessment of a movable archaeological cultural good from the Archaeology Fund of the Petrich Historical Museum—a Theatrical Mask from Heraclea Sintica. The object was discovered in 1958 and dates to II-III century AD. It is currently in good condition and is on display in the main exhibition of the Petrich Historical Museum. The object is not for sale. The presented expertise and appraisal are for educational purposes. This is the first expert appraisal of the artefact. The proposed financial value is in the range of BGN 90,000–120,000 and is based on David Torsby's concept of economic and cultural value, as well as a comparative approach and analysis of the macro environment. The insurable value is BGN 105,000.
