Summary/Abstract: The article examines how the authoritative voice of Ivan Vazov is used to express the opinion of an entire country. The text compares the opinions of world-famous writers about what the soldiers of the Bulgarian army did to their opponents during the Balkan wars. The focus is on how Pierre Loti, Leonid Andreev and D’Annunzio interpret the consequences of the Balkan wars and how and who supports the Bulgarian side.
