Summary/Abstract: According to the Bulgarian Medicinal Products in Human Medicine Act (MPHMA), retail trade in medicinal products is conducted exclusively through pharmacies and drugstores. This paper analyzes two key aspects of employment relations in pharmacies: the job functions of employees and the distribution and recording of their working hours. The research applies historical and legal-dogmatic methods, typical for sector-specific legal studies. The findings indicate that employment in pharmacies is governed by both the Labor Code and the MPHMA. Conclusions highlight regulatory gaps, human resource challenges, and the need for legislative reforms and more effective administrative control.
