Summary/Abstract: The Yemeni Houthis have been one of the most active participants in the conflict between Israel and Palestine since 2023. Their role became even more tangible when the rebels began seizures on Israel-linked vessels travelling through the Red Sea, threatening the global free flow of commercial goods. The present article uses the content analysis method to analyze the international community’s reaction to the Houthis’ maritime campaign. Analyzed are publications on the official websites of the British newspaper The Guardian and of the Islamic Republic’s News Agency (Iranian authorities’ official news agency) in the period between 1 November 2023 and 31 December 2023.
