Summary/Abstract: In the early 1970s, as the topic of crimes of Nazis and collaborators against humanity grew increasingly popular in the United States of America, concerns arose that many of those responsible were still at large. This article analyses cases in which Lithuanians in the USA were suspected of such crimes and also examines the attitudes prevailing during the Cold War among the main Lithuanian exile organisations regarding the persecution of suspects.
