Summary/Abstract: The article compares the status of intercultural linguistic mediation of children’s literature in Slovenia and in North Macedonia. The status has been observed in two stages; the first one covers the years 1945 to 1990 and the second from 1991 to 2018. The article also states which literary works have been translated during these two time periods and names the translators. Furthermore, it demonstrates whether or not the translations comply with literary production of the individual country and presents the ratio between the number of translations from Slovenian language to Macedonian and vice versa.
