Summary/Abstract: The novel The Physics of Sorrow includes the infusion of a contemporary author’s reading of the myth of the Minotaur. The story unravels at different points in space and time, depicting the problems of contemporary societies or the character’s. Philosophy, science and the personal experiences of the character create a multifaceted work filled with symbols, mysticism, new philosophical questions. The feeling of melancholy and sorrow is felt throughout. The article analyses the philosophical layer of the work, distinctive characteristics of the main characters, the symbols used and the translation into Greek. A few problematic places in the translation are discussed, as they hinder the Greek reader, and a general evaluation of the work is made.
