Summary/Abstract: The report is clarifying investments in the recycling industry and is shown their importance for transferring from traditional linear economical model to circular economy. Have been clarified the types of financing and the impact of the regulatory mechanisms encouraging investments in the recycling industry. Considering the impact of investments in infrastructure and digitalization and is understood that the transition to Industry 5.0 needs investments, which are aimed to the best strategies that are linked with “Using advanced technologies in systems for collecting waste” and “Using intelligent systems for treatment of the collected waste”.
