Summary/Abstract: This paper clarifies the essence and presents a classification of investments, with primary attention given to investments in real assets. The subsectors included in the textile manufacturing and textile products sector are specified. The production characteristics, territorial distribution, and number of employees in enterprises within the examined sector are discussed. Based on data collected from the National Statistical Institute regarding expenditures on the acquisition of long-term tangible assets and foreign direct investment, the investment activity of enterprises in the sector is analyzed.
