The focus is on intellectual property rights. The relevance is undeniable in view of the multifaceted presence of artificial intelligence in business and academia. The aim is: to present the problems facing the intellectual property system when using artificial intelligence in education and research, such as copyright and patent rights. The author's thesis is: the need for in-depth knowledge of intellectual property rights when using artificial intelligence in universities. The issues of artificial intelligence in higher education administration remain outside the scope.
