Summary/Abstract: In times of tremendous technical and scientific advance impacting human life and nature’s future, it is of paramount importance to raise the new generations with special care and attention in order to ensure not only high-quality education, but also active citizenship. To this end, the introduction of novelties and implementation of innovative approaches is required. However, research is needed prior to putting scientific achievements into practice so that evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses could be done and educational effectiveness is not reduced. Hence, the paper focuses on this topical issue based on the example of language training and ESP in particular.
