Summary/Abstract: From a historical perspective, grape cultivation and wine production have been known to the world since long before the Common Era. To this day, they remain a primary livelihood in many regions across the globe. The aim of the present report is to provide a comparative analysis of grape and wine production in Bulgaria between 2019 and 2024, and that of other European countries. The following scientific methods have been applied in the research: the inductive method, deductive method, comparative analysis, factor analysis, and technological analysis. The results of the study indicate that Bulgaria has significantly reduced its wine production in recent years compared to previous periods. However, the country maintains strong traditions in viticulture, with well-established grape varieties and recognized wine quality. Furthermore, Bulgarian producers demonstrate awareness of the beneficial compounds found in wine, such as resveratrol, as well as the potential to utilize winemaking by-products—for example, producing grape seed oil. The conclusions drawn in this report may be of practical use to winemakers, professionals in the wine industry, and anyone with a broader interest in this field.
