Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes new sources about the so called Zograf Bulgarian History from the second half of the 18th century. According to the documents published here the author of the Zograf Bulgarian History turns out to be hierodeacon Dossithey Zografski, who, being an orthodox monk, ordered in 1760 from Croatia a copy of the second edition of Razgovor ugodni naroda slovinskoga by Andrija Kačić Miošić and used it in his own historical compilation. The work of the Zograf monk is situated in a broader historical context.
