Summary/Abstract: The article presents a comparative analysis of selected fairy tales from the Tipical Index of Slovene Folk Tales, 2015, by Monika Kropej Telban, and the collection of Bulgarian fairy tales by Ljudmil Dimitrov, entitled The Short-tailed Rooster, 2018, which includes twenty-five fairy tales about animals. The method of literary analysis of Max Lüthi was used.
