Summary/Abstract: This study analyzes the manifestations of sustainable leadership in the context of ESG transformation through a qualitative focus group involving leaders from various business sectors. The discussion is based on the “6C Sustainable Leadership” model with the aim of identifying the key competencies of the sustainable leader. Six core competencies are outlined: self-awareness and adaptability; goal setting and problem-solving; multidisciplinary expertise; inspirational communication; visionary thinking and cultural intelligence; ethical decision-making. The research highlights the role of Generations Z and Y as active participants in the transformation toward sustainable business models. Their attitudes and behavioral characteristics shape a new leadership profile, rooted in values-driven behavior, social engagement, and strategic thinking in the face of global challenges.
