Summary/Abstract: The teaching of gastronomic technical terminology in the context of German as a Foreign Language (DaF) presents a particular challenge, as specialized language is deeply embedded in both professional and cultural contexts. The importance of such terminology lies in its function to ensure effective professional communication in the field of gastronomy – both among professionals and in interactions with guests. In DaF textbooks, technical language should be contextualized, supported by multimedia resources, practiced through role-plays, and embedded in intercultural learning. A practical example of language-sensitive teaching is the use of bilingual worksheets to convey gastronomic terminology. These materials incorporate both the target language (German) and the learners' native languages to overcome linguistic barriers and enhance the understanding of key concepts. Scientific writing, which employs specialized terminology and strives for objectivity and clarity, is a precise, clear, and factual mode of expression. A characteristic feature of scientific language is the specific use of linguistic tools that enables the precise and accessible formulation of scientific findings. Scientific works can only be successful if the author masters and correctly uses the language of science as their most important tool. Instructors who act as academic advisors must be able to draw students' attention to the linguistic peculiarities of scientific writing. Through the correct formulation of their thoughts, students are able to clearly articulate the aims of their scientific work and successfully present their results
