Summary/Abstract: This paper addresses the problem of teaching Bulgarian-language phraseology which has a specific cultural background, different and unknown to foreign-language speakers. This research is based on cognitive approach in linguistics, embraces languages’ cultural dimension and illustrates the correlation between language and culture. The paper highlights critical aspects of introducing and teaching Bulgarian phraseology with the aim of revealing their national-cultural specificity.
