Summary/Abstract: This chapter examines Russia’s foreign policy perspectives on the South Caucasus, assessing how Moscow views the region in terms of security, economic interests, and geopolitical strategy. By analysing Russia’s bilateral relations with each South Caucasian state, its mediation role in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and its response to competing external influences, this study provides a comprehensive overview of Russia’s evolving regional strategy. Additionally, the chapter explores how Russia’s war in Ukraine has altered its foreign policy calculations in the South Caucasus, potentially reshaping its long-term role in the region.
