Summary/Abstract: This article presents reflection as part of the training process in foreign language education and, in particular, it mastering the material in the subject English for Academic Purposes. The main focus is the so-called ‘critical learning incident’ and the conclusions at which students arrive when they analyse such incidents of their own. The article takes my practice in teaching English for Academic Purposes at the University of Nottingham in 2015 as a basis. Additionally, the article proposes how the reflection process can be assisted through the implementation of electronic platforms.
