Summary/Abstract: Sex education is an essential element of personal and social development. It helps us build healthy habits regarding the body, emotions, and our relationships. In the European Union (in countries such as the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, etc.), there are established programs for sex education. In Bulgaria, however, such education exists only at the high school level and is conducted within just a few classes. In preschool and elementary school, such topics are not addressed at all. Based on the experience accumulated over the years, the aforementioned countries have concluded that alternative teaching methods are necessary for such education. The educational puppet theater is one of these methods, through which this gap in education for young children can be filled.
