Summary/Abstract: Cancer care is of utmost importance for modern healthcare, as cancer is a serious health and social problem worldwide. Cancer is the second leading cause of death after cardiovascular disease and affects millions of people every year. Cancer treatment requires a multidisciplinary approach that includes diagnosis, treatment, psychological support and palliative care. The ultimate aim of this work is to provide an objective assessment of the state of cancer care in Bulgaria and to suggest possible directions for its improvement, with a primary focus on the patient's perspective and his/her access to timely and quality medical care. This text presents the third and fourth chapters of the master thesis.
